Below the Wilder Dam

  • 4 miles below Sumners Falls to Great River Outfitters, Windsor—2 hours
    Floating plus paddling—take out at Great River Outfitters with permission from Craig Carmody 802-674-9933. He charges $5/person to carry boats up from the river.
  • 2 miles from Great River Outfitters to Cornish boat launch
  • 6 miles (3 hours float with paddling) from below Sumners Falls to Cornish boat launch—with lunch stop at Path of Life Garden (free with river access). At Great River Outfitters.
