Why would I choose to go with a company rather than on my own?

Ah, good question. Individuals, groups and families choose to travel with us for many different reasons: for the enjoyment of being guided, to have a supported trip and leave the details and the cooking to us, to participate with new friends, to meet new people who like the outdoors, and to learn new skills.  Most people discover the healing quality of our adventures and even just being on our land.

What kind of shape do I need to be in for your trips?

You do not need to be in great physical condition to thoroughly enjoy your time in the wilderness. We adapt our trips to your individual physical fitness level. We do have boats that can be fitted for adaptive needs. Distances traveled will vary depending on what you can do physically. We adjust paddling distances based on how far you want to travel and what you can accomplish physically without injury. We will also work to connect you with people with similar physical capabilities. The level of instruction provided will vary depending on your individual experience.
