Flat water, relaxed pace, 5-6 miles per day. Boat rentals and paddling instruction available on request.
Overnight paddle-camping trip on flat to moving water of the Connecticut River in Massachusetts. Suitable for first-time paddle-campers, but some paddling and camping experience expected. Relaxed pace at 5 miles first day and 10 miles second day, but optional early take-out available second day. Your camping gear needs to fit inside your boat and be protected with drybags. Bring lunch and snacks for two days, and your drinking water for 2 days. Water is not available at the campsite. We will prepare community meals for breakfast and dinner. Some camping gear is available if you ask. We have a shelter and tentsites reserved – pitch your tent or sleep in the shelter. Register early to reserve your spot on this trip.
The price, TBD, will be less than $50 for food and camping. Any equipment rented from Bold Paths is extra. When you register, let us know if you will need to rent a kayak ($35/day) or camping gear (sleeping bag ($5), pad, tent ($), groundcloth) from Bonna at Bold Paths <boldpaths@gmail.com>. Also give us your preference for private tent site or sleeping in the shelter.
