Women Outdoors sponsors the Memorial Day Weekend camping trip to Groton State Park in Vermont. Camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, exploring, swimming, fishing.

This is our replacement for the date that used to be the Women Outdoors Gathering. Get together with new and old friends at a new location for the long weekend, with camping at a group campsite with lean-to’s, lake access, hiking trails, and fun. Come for a get-away in Vermont with Women Outdoors and Bold Paths Adventures.
Good company, good food, good exercise! Great location at Groton State Forest.

Lean-to’s and places for tents, picnic tables, firepits. Clivus composting toilets are amazingly clean and non-smelly with large shelters. Carry in drinking water, refillable nearby.
Dirt bike trails everywhere in the area, and the Cross Vermont Trail.
Hike around the lake. People come to the rocky shore around the bend to go fishing. There are hikes all over Groton State Forest, including around Peacham Bog and up a couple of small mountains, one being Owls Head.
Kayaking, with boats to rent through Bold Paths. There are amazing rocks to jump off of, and woods and trails to explore.

We are considering offering skill-building workshops and opportunities for participants to share a skill. Costs: We will come up with costs for group meals. You bring your snacks.
$7/night camping fee.
Extra $15 for organizing costs and kayak/canoe transportation.
Kayak and canoe rentals at $20/day ($50/weekend) on site through Bold Paths, please let us know your interest.
Group food costs: We will split food costs for group meals. We will cooperatively prepare food.
